I would like to use an Olympus Penpal...

...to transfer pics from my E-PL3 to my iPad, will it work? Do I need a special app?

Hi whatif?

You would need to check with the manufacturer to see if the PenPal bluetooth device is compatible.

However, Apple does have a camera adapter kit to connect your camera to the iPad.

Shoot. Connect. Enjoy. iPad and iPad mini camera adapters give you two ways to import photos and videos from a digital camera: directly from an SD card or using your camera’s USB cable. iPad and iPad mini support standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, as well as SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG‑4. So you can get photos and videos off your camera and onto your iPad — moments after you take them.

Cheers,

Judy
