Epson LX300 printing

Hi all,

Want to know if anyone has successfully installed and used an Epson LX300 dot matrix printer on Mac OS X 10.4.6?

I managed to download and install the epson pdd files from linuxprinting and also successfully printed some spreadsheets.

However, there are times that it takes a long time before the dot matrix printer starts to print....a godd 3 minutes or so before the documents would start printing.

Any ideas how i can correct this?
