Reburbished iPod touch without Apple logo on the back?

My niece got her iPod touch replaced a few days ago, but the one she received doesn't have an Apple logo or any of the serial numbers or ID's on the back. It's just a plain mirror back. Is this normal for refurbished iPods?

Also, it also has a pressure spot on the screen, and it's far more sensitive to pressure than my iPhone's screen.

Here are some photos:

I was going to ask if you got this from some place other than Apple, but then I saw your follow up post. NO legitimate iPod, regardless of condition, lacks the Apple logo. Complain to Best Buy and get another replacement.

I just had the same problem. I went to replace my ipod that had a cracked screen on 11/3/13...it was supposed to come back on 11/6/13 according to the order prepared by best buy geek squad. It did not come in until today..11/15/13....i took it into apple to have the ios7 installed even though I could have done it by self but love their service. To my dismay they discovered that there was no logo on the back nor a serial number. They said all there products have a serial and logo number no matter if its refurbished or not. I took it to the best buy store to inform them and they stated that its real and they cant do anything about it. I told them that Apple itself will not accept it as a real product so how could it be a real product? They would not listen to my concerns and eventually called a manager. The manager said within their policy it says the replacement will be refurbished. I told him I understood this and there is a difference between a refurbished product and giving a product that isn't even accepted by the original manufacturer. The manager said only thing he could do was give me $50 off the new ipod and give me a trade in value for my "refurbished" ipod touch that has no value to them. I was upset that i bought this ipod for $200 plus warranty..they return it with a product not accepted by Apple and then want to give me $40 for it!!! Something that is there error! Even a refurbished ipod 4gen 8gig from apple is valued at $179!! I was outraged and insulted!!! First by Apple tell me its not real (embarrassed) and second the store saying it has no value for it and can give me $40!! They said i don't need to go to Apple and could use their service = i told them i want a product that is compatible and accepted wherever I go! They said the only thing they could do is send it back but they are definite that they will send it back with the same product and put a "sticker" on it. I still had them send the product back. Rudely they told me this was the only time they would do this and if it happens again, they will not send it again. First my warranty with them ends 3/2014 and second if they are giving fake products, they need to own upto it. Not sure what i will get back. Reading the above comments makes me outraged how many other people this must have happened too...and how many are able to address any concerns if their product has future problems!!

I'm dealing with this problem right now on a 4th Gen iPod Touch. I'm complaining to Best Buy that I don't want to support a third party market and I want an apple device not something that looks like a clone. They sent me one referbished device that was scratched and had no apple logo or S/N on the back. I'm being told this is normal and apple certifies this as a referbished device. I've asked for their authority and the information that proves the device is recertified by an apple technician. They immediately turned around and offered me a $150 gift card instead of the device. I viewed this as a void of their own contract to provide me a replacement device if the device didn't perform or was damaged. This is getting to be a pain to get a true apple product from Best Buy after purchasing their own protection plan.
