Problem with App iphone 4s

My iphone 4s said it needed to update netflix. So i did and three hours later there was no progress at all so i deleted the app and then try'd to download it again but where it should say install it says "open" i click open and it takes me to my homescreen. now i cnt get the app. What do i do??
