Haunted by USERS... Remove?

Hi everyone, just joined here. Got a question: I'm running 10.8.4, and on my log in screen I have users that are no longer present in my settings showing up. Also, at times my installation paths are pointing to an old user's path, and not my current one.

Example, I installed DAZ 3D the other day, but all textures wants to install to /robert/... wich is an old account that was removed before, my current main account is /RGB/... I think this is because I have done reinstalls using Time Machine?

My questions is, can I somehow edit/remove these users in some file, and change my PATH somehow to the correct /RGB path? Hopefully, without doing a reinstall.

I'm not sure how you did what you did, but it will likely not end well.

In the Users & Groups System Preferences, right-click on your current RGB user and select Advanced.

Does the Home folder path point to RGB or robert?

Hi, its set to RGB. Didnt even know you could right-click there.. That's funny. Maybe I'll just reinstall.

Try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.
