2013 Macbook Air bootcamp drivers do not work with external speaker
I just bought a brand new max-spec 2013 Macbook Air. Installed Windows 7 64bit using Bootcamp and the driver bundle supplied by Apple.
Bluetooth works, in that it can detect devices, but when I connect my Braven 650 to it it comes up in device manager as having no driver installed. Trying to retrieve one from windows update fails.
I tried calling AppleCare for support, as the drivers are obviously supplied by Apple, but the guy I spoke to was very rude and aggressive on the phone and kept repeating pointless facts that had no relevance to the issue, eg "Did Windows install ok via Bootcamp? then that's all we support" etc etc. I repeatedly tried to explain that the drivers for the Broadcom chip were supplied by Apple and are not available via any other means (even Broadcom) but he just wasn't interested.
Broadcom have a WIDCOMM driver bundle but it doesn't install on the machine, it just hangs trying to detect the bluetooth chip so it's obviously using custom drivers provided by Apple.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I'm very annoyed and disapointed by how rude and unhelpful AppleCare were.
