are all files backed up or are some skipped?

hi i accidently deleted my web browser (chromium) history. i recovered all the application support files from time machine, but the history was still gone. i didn't tell the timemachine prefs to exclude anything. what gives? thanks.

iMac (20-inch Early 2008), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

They are probably somewhere in your user library, although I don't know exactly where since I don't use that browser.


Hold down the option key while using the Finder Go To Folder command. Enter ~/Library/.

If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.
