App store:ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url.

I can log into Apple with user name and password but can't log into App Store. Used it earlier to update Aperture.

Now i get this:ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url.

Check GateKeeper ...



Open Sysem Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.

Select: Mac App Store and identified developers

If that area is greyed out, click the padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password.


OS X: About Gatekeeper


If that didn't help, disable anti virus software if installed. Then try logging in.



And try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.


Quit the App Store if it's open.


Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder


Type or copy paste the following:


~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db


Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.


Relaunch the App Store and try logging in.

I just started having the same problem. Tried everything listed in this thread ... and still having the problem.


Update: This problem is confined to my MacBook Pro running Lion. I have an iMac running Mountain Lion that is still able to login and purchase frm the App Store without issue (I just tested it), but the MBP still absolutely refuses to do so because of the error in the subject line.

Another update: I tried logging out of my iTunes account, but then couldn't even log back in again because of the same error. So I left it alone for an hour thereafter in frustration. After that I tried it one more time, and for some reason it decided to start working again. I have no idea as to why.


So ... that was disturbing. But at least it is working again (for now).

Sign out of your Mac App Store account (Store menu) and Quit the app. Triple click the line above this paragraph to highlight it. Then right click on the highlighting and go to Services in the contextual menu. In Services choose Open. In the resulting Finder window drag the files in the Updates folder to the Trash. Open the Mac App Store and try again.
