Q: all my calendar events have disappeared except for contacts info like birthdays!  how can I restore them?

is it possible to restore a calendar?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

    Did you check icloud.com from your computer to see if your calendar was still there?  If it isn't, unless you have a backup on your computer or another backup source, you won't be able to restore it.  (Backups made in iTunes on your computer include your calendar events.)
