Q: downloading

So I downloaded all my songs and now all they do is go to my computer not my ipod. I have my ipod plugged into the computer when i bought all of the songs. Why dont they go to my ipod? How can I get them to go to my ipod?

For what illogical reason would anyone think the songs would download to an iDevice instead of or in addition to the iTunes library?

As already implied, the user must actually tell iTunes to sync the content in question to the device.
