Q: Why does browser view runs off screen?
Aperture 3.4.5 hung up, I force quit it, and when it returned,
the browser view shows one line of pics that runs off screen
the text line at screen bottom says thousands of "items displayed"
I cannot scroll to right to see the pics that are (or seem to be) out of A window
If I scroll up (w/ magic mouse), more rows of pics appear, though they, too, run off at the right and are inaccessible beyond window edge.
In the normal (not full-screen) browser view, there is no longer a slider to increase/decrease pic size
If I go to full screen, the browser view works as it should, and there is a size slider in lower right corner
Is there a plist file or something I might delete to get back to where it was working?
Thanks.

I'd try first to change the Display resolution in the System Preferences > Displays settings to a smaller resolution and then back again.
Sometimes encourages that Aperture to update the prefereces settings.
If that does not help, you probably have a problem with corrupted user preferences.
- Remove the Preferences: Remove the Aperture's user preferences from the User Library as described here:
Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805
Note:
Your User Library is hidden by default in 10.7.x or later - to open it in a Finder window use the "Go" menu from the Finder's main menu bar.
- Quit Aperture, if it is running. Log off and on again.
- Open the user library by using the Finder's "Go > Go to Folder" menu and hold down the options-key, until "Library" appears in the drop down menu. Select it.
- In the widow that will open, scroll down to "Preferences"
- From the "Preferences" folder remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist".
Then try to launch Aperture again.
But deleting the "Preferences" file will cause Aperture to forget the preferences settings. Be prepared to have to reset all options you set using the Aperture Preferences panel.
