Why are hulu/netflix/hbo videos not working on my brand new macbook?

I just bought a brand new macbook pro a couple weeks ago and ever since videos on hulu, netflix, etc. have stopped working in the middle of playing the video. My internet appears to be fully connected and I have an up to date flash player installed. Any reason why this is happening?
