27" imac i5 shutting down
27" imac keeps shutting down. Any help?
iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
Difficult to help if you aren't more descriptive about the shutdowns.

I just got it 4 days ago. when I have a torrent app running it seems to happen frequently, before I thought it was because I had multiple things open and running as well, now it seems as if that app crashes it but in looking it up others have had the same problem
Well the problem is you may be stealing software from an infrected torrent. Good luck with that. I'd recommend you use the AppleCare coverage that came with the machine.
You have a brand new iMac and you are already downloading, illegally,media or software from, possibly, an infected torrent site?

You are going to keep running into problems if you keep up this kind of activity.
You have an iMac that has one free year of AppleCare support. I suggest that you make an appointment with an Apple Store location and bring your new iMac in for diagnosis and repair.
