App Store Gift Cards

I bought an app store gift card for my husband on father's day from our local CVS store. I thought that it was for the Apple Store. My mistake for buying last minute. 🙂 The whole point was to flow some money towards the new computer that my husband wanted to buy this week.

I went back to the CVS with my receipt and they would not return my gift cards which were clearly not used. They said once they were activated in the store I could not return them.

I called the Apple Store and you can't use them for retail purchases. I called Apple and got an automated voicemail...getting me no further.

I am sitting with $150 worth of gift cards that I would like to get refunded so I can buy the proper apple store cards and help my hubby get his new computer. Any suggestions?
