mac os 9 emulator

Question

mac os 9 emulator

hello,

I have an ibook g4 with mac os 10.4. Is there an emulator that can run mac os 9 on my ibook? I like classic but I want to see the old os 9 desktop and such.

There are programs to make Mac OS X look and behave more like Mac OS 9, as my FAQ explains:

Earlier in my FAQ, I explain which Macs can boot Mac OS 9, and can't. If it is that important to you, you may want to get an older Mac.

ok. is there any way to see the desktop in classic? When I start up classic i see the "happy mac" and mac os 9.2 starting up IN A WINDOW! can i keep that window up, is there a hack? thx

vMac is ggod choice. it is an emulator for MacPlus. it can handle system 6.0.7 perfectly and 7.1 i think. But as MacPlus had a B&W display, it is lack of color.
ROM is a problem. You can capture your own ROM if you own a MacPlus. You can also find it from internet but do not forget. But I think It is NOT legal.

None of the emulators out there work well and most require a ROM which may or may not be legal. I would strongly suggest you stick with classic.
