I would like to watch Acorn TV streaming on my iphone but on an external monitor connected with a VGA adaptor. Will this work? I think Acorn streams using QuickTime.

iphone4 does not support airplay mirror
so the app have to be made to support the old video airplay type for it to work
the build in video app support it but many 3th party apps would not
and also vga does not carry audio
Maybe it would be helpful to state what I already know:
The 30 pin to VGA adapter for iPad and iPhone is only video out, not audio.
The iPhone 4 is not capable of full mirroring by way of the VGA adapter.
The iPhone 4 does support video out by VGA on an app by app basis.
Safari is an app that can work with VGA out, but not always.
I can watch streaming TV via iOS Safari thru Acorn Online on my iPhone 4.
What I want to know is:
Will this work with an external monitor connected to my iPhone via VGA adapter?

for safari to do airplay pre mirroring days the website had to be made to support it
as in few to non ever were
