For all of you that are still having problems with the apps crashing on your phones.. I too had this problem. But for me, there was a simple fix. I do not know if this will work for you but I figured it would be worth a try because it definitely worked for me. Go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage. if you have no storage left, you need to delete some things from your device. the list will be organized by apps taking up the most storage on your iDevice. delete whatever you want. I believe it causes the apps to crash because all apps on your iDevice build up cache which will take up memory. when your device is out of memory, it cannot build up anymore cache which causes the app to reject itself and crash. Hope this helps you! I know how scary it is thinking your phone is broke and almost having to restore!

It is all apps, I tried shutting off like you mentioned. I have even erased everything and set it up as a new Ipad and did not restore from an old back up but redownloaded the apps.

Funny thing is my iphone did the same same thing and I took it to the genius bar and they couldnt figure it out and gave me a new and I set it up as new and re downloaded the apps etc and it worked fine for 2 weeks and now that is doing it again also? I only downloaded FB and Twitter on that phone as far as apps (only common apps between the 2 devices). Do you think they are causing this? Can they affect all apps including mail, settings, etc?

After swapping out for 3 more iphones I/we figured out if was not a hardware issue (no kidding right). The only app that we could figure it might be is when I attached my work outlook email. Something there must have been causing it. Everytime it happens now I delete my outlook email account, hard reboot the device (power/home at the same time until after the apple symbol dissappears) and the restart it and re hook up my outlook. Seems to fix it so I guess that is what it was.
