1. Plug your iPad into your computer like this:

It doesn't matter if your computer is a Mac or a Windows PC. You also have to make sure you have iTunes on your computer. If you are using a Windows PC, you can download iTunes here: iTunes - Download iTunes Now - Apple (NZ)


If you have a Mac, you should already have iTunes installed.


2. After you have made sure you have iTunes, open it while your iPad is plugged into your computer:

3. After you open it, you might have to agree to some Terms & Conditions and sign into your iCloud account. After that, there will be a small iPad icon up near the top-left. Click on that.

It should then show up with an interface like this:

4. Look for a button saying 'Restore iPad'. Click that and follow the instructions it tells you to.
