I have been using my iPhone as my alarm clock for years now. I would set my alarm, and indicate "ON" for the snooze feature. Then the alarm would go off in the morning I would reach for the phone (still half asleep) and press the power button, and the alarm would snooze for 9 minutes.

Recently, the alarm stopped automatically snoozing when I hit the power button. Hitting the power button only prompts a "snooze" button to pop up on the home screen -- but the alarm never goes off again unless I additionally hit that "snooze" button.

Anyone know why this started happening? It has cause a few late mornings lately...

I've had the same thing happen to me lately as well. A reboot of my 4S seems to have fixed the issue I had with my phone not even sounding my alarms, but I had a problem again this morning when pressing the power/lock button to snooze my alarm. Until iOs 7 comes out next week, I'd recommend using the volume buttons to snooze.

Same problem here! I too press the volume buttons to start snooze function. This does not work anymore on IOS7. Instead after sleeping in for over an hour (and be late for work) I noticed a snooze button had popped up on the screen. Grrrr....

You can also press the volume up or down buttons to snooze. You might try those and see if it makes a difference.
