safari does not print or save pdf correctly

Using Safari 6.0.5, when I save a .pdf and then re-open the .pdf with Adbode Acrobat or Reader I see the following message: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.". If I try to print the .pdf directly from Safari I get a blank page.

I have seen references to removing AdobePDFviewerNPAPI.plugin, but I do not know how to remove the file. Any help would be appreciated, I'm forced to use another browser (Chrome, in this case) to download and use .pdfs.

Thanks,

Chris

Open the Finder.

From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

/Library/Internet Plug-Ins

Click Go. The AdobePDFViewer plugin would be in the Internet Plug-Ins folder.

Move it to the Trash if you find it.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
