Has Apple released system requirements yet for OS X Mavericks?
I'm dreading the day my sweet old MacBook Pro becomes obsolete. It's of August 2008 vintage. Thanks!

Not yet and I doubt they will until it ships. I seriously doubt a 2008 mac notebook will run the newer os x. It barely runs mountain lion.
