I have an iphone 4S and I am unable to change my outgoing voicemail. Can someone help? I haven't updated to the new software yet.

The software update shouldn't matter. Are you on a supported iPhone carrier that supports visual voicemail? If so, go to the voicemail tab and click on Greeting. That allows you to record your custom greeting. If you do not have visual voicemail, you need to check with the carrier, as voicemail is a carrier function.

The Voicemail icon is accessed by tapping on the Phone app icon. From there, you should see a number of selections on the bottom of the screen, Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad and Voicemail. When you go to Voicemail, you can access your voicemail messages, delete them and in the top left of the screen, you can find the place to access your greeting, and the ability to use a default or record or review a custom greeting.
