Q: My Mac doesn't recognize DVD's when inserted. All my settings are correct. I insert it then after a few seconds. it automatically ejects, any suggestions?

My Mac will eject dvd's after a few seconds. Checked all settings, should start up when inserted but doesn't. What am I missing?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

Check Finder > Preferences > General

Make sure: CDs, DVDs, and iPods is selected.

Ok, any more suggestions. It still will not play DVD's.
