My Applications folder has static headers. I cannot change the collumns. The headings are smaller type and clicking on them does nothing.
It is only the Applications folder.
What is the cause and How can I correct this issue?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion
With the Finder open, from the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
Click Go the move the com.apple.finder.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
See if that made a difference...
You probably have items grouped. In your toolbar, there's a little icon with a couple lines and 6 tiny boxes. Click that, and choose "None" and then you can change the column headers and move them around.
