Bluetooth connection for iPhone 5 - Calls Yes, Music No

The Bluetooth is working when it comes to using the handsfree phone feature in my car. I can conduct a call from the mike and speakers in the car. However, I'm not able to get my music to play using Bluetooth. My iPhone phone 4 streamed my music through the car stereo via the bluetooth. The one time I had a problem, it was because I left the phone on speaker phone. Right now when I try to stream music from the iPhone5 my Music only comes from the phone speaker. I have a 2012 Pathfinder and my IPhone 5 worked fine. Is it my car or the phone?

if the headset does not support the bluetooth profiles called a2dp then calls are all you get

same deal with other smartphone and audio from computers and tablets too

Well, first, I am not using a headset. I am streaming the phone or utilizing the bluetooth connecrion between the phone and car stereo/audio system. The handsfree phone is builti in throught the car audio system. That being said, it looks like it may be a glitch with the new operating system that Apple doesn't seem to want to address. There are several posts from those who have upgraded their operating systems to 6.0 or 6.1.4 (both iPhone 5 and 4) that are having this same problem. It is not only occuring in Toyota/Lexus but, Ford and other makers. Have you heard any kind of update in regard to this fix?

Or whilst Apple are ahead on Communications technology ,Car makers are certainly not

More likely your vehicle needs an update to keep up with Apple not the other way round

it's a heardset seen from the ios device

snf it still goes if the bluetooth device does not support a2dp then it will only get calls

always been like that from the invention of bluetooth

Peter, I never had problem wiht my iPhone 4 streaming music. My iPhone 5 seems to be the problem.

Have you unpaired the iPhone 4 from the car? Many systems have a limit to the number of devices they can pair with, and in some cases that limit is 1.

Yes, and in fact, I deleted all phones from the car (I can upload up to 4) and reloaded it. It still didn't work.
