My iPod Nano 7th gen does not connect to my Mac OS X 10.8.3

Hi. My birthday was yesterday and for it I got an iPod Nano! But today while I was trying to pair it, it worked, but said





Cahill Command <-- my computer

Not Connected


this happened every time I tryed to pair: Nada. Can someone please tell me what is going on? And hopefully tell me how 2 fix. Thanks,

We have an article that goes over what to do if your iPod doesn't appear in iTunes when you connect it to your Mac. I'd check it out and see if any of the articles and steps resolve the issue, especially the link titled "iPod not recognized in iTunes and Mac Desktop" within:
