All any of us can say is "because Apple has not included any spam filtering in iOS". No one here has any insight into Apple's decisions.

Your iCloud mail account has spam filtering on Apple's servers, though. You can log into your account via any web browser and mark a message as spam there. You can also set up rules to discard any messages you receive that have a common pattern such as domain name. Not as convenient as being able to mark a messages as spam from your iOS device, I know, but it's what is available as of this time.

This is what I can't understand. We have 2013, floods of spam are pouring in, I forward the very same §$%& spam from the very same §$%%& source to spam@me.com every day – and NOTHING HAPPENS! The same §$%&/ spam comes in day after day!!! I can't believe that this doesn't happen to those guys up @  headquarters either. But they don't react! This drives me crazy! I really think about dumping my iCloud account just because  doesn't give a §$%& about spam.

That may or may not be the case. But cursing at us, your fellow users, will accomplish nothing and no one here has done anything to deserve it, so while I understand some ire over spam, please stay calm when posting here.

If you're getting too much spam through your iCloud email account, by all means shift to some other provider. iCloud is a free service, so there's no reason to stay with it if it doesn't fit your needs.
