airport extreme + att wireless modem Model 4111N

Getting the imfamous double nat error. After tying everything ATT told me it still was not working properly, they are sending out another wireless modem and says that the other is defective. RIGHT. I want the att to be in bridge mode not the airport extreme. Found directions on att forum from June of 2012 http://tinyurl.com/mh8penj (option 2). Will this still work with the new devices?
