I have the latest silver Apple bluetooth keyboard that came with my 64 bit iMac that I bought 3 months ago. My 64MB iPod Touch is model MC547LL/A running version 6.1.3 of its operating system.

- If you pared the keyboard to your Mac or other deviceyou have to unpair. On the Mac with the KB connected go to BT>the keyboard and select disconnect.
- On the iPod
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. yo will hae to rejoin wifi networks
Thanks for the help. My problem is that I was trying to sync my keyboard to two devices. I ordered an iPad that I'm going to get next week. I was practicing with my iPod figuring if I could connect my iPod with a keyboard then I could do the same thing with my iPad. It hadn't occurred to me that I can only pair my keyboard with one device at a time. Thanks again for the help.
Odd.
I did turn off the Bluetooth keyboard on the Mac, we prefer a wired.
I have pared the wireless keyboard with my iPad and iPod and now with my iPad mini.
I picked up the origami cover which doubles as a stand for the iPad.
My experience is that Apple keyboards remember what it was paired with. I found that out when I wanted to switch the BT keyboard to another of my Macs. It would not pair with the other Mac until I "disconnected" it from the first Mac. The instructions said you had to disconnect. You might be able to get around it by taking the batteries out for a while. Turing off the keyboard and then back on did not allow pairing with my other Mac.
I did everything you suggested. I now have my wired keyboard working on my iMac and my wireless keyboard paired with my iPod. However, on my iPod if I try to type any text such as answering an email or making a text note, I am not able to use my wireless keyboard. What do I need to do next?
I don't seem to be able to disconnect my wireless keyboard from my iMac.
Thanks again. I finally got it to work.
