I do not have the disk to reset and i've already tried the command + r, and the alt +r. Im not sure what else to do, if you could please put step by step instructions, im kind of new to the mac community. Also, not really sure of the specs of my mac mini. Thanks!

Hi, so CMD+r didn't bring up the Restore partition?
Do you have Firmware Protection set, if so disable it.
What happens if you hold alt key only t bootup, what boot choices do you see?
Is it a Wifi or USB Keyboard?
I use a wifi keyboard, I do not see any boot choices when i hold down only the alt key. And im unaware of what "Firmware Protection set" is.
Might need a real, USB KB to get past this, but...

If i buy a disk and insert it into my superdrive, will i be able to restore it that way?
Yes if:
- The Superdrive works. When I tried to restor mine the SD would just eject the disk
- You have either an original install disk made for your model Mini or a retail install disk. An original install disk from another model Mini or other model Mac will not install.
