I just did the sync operation for my ipad. I took lots of time to organize photos in iphoto and carefully checked off which "Events" I wanted synced to my ipad. Even though I click "apply" only one of the Events I choose is on my ipad and 8 other folders that are just photos from individual dates show up in my Event folder. What am I doing wrong.

You may need to disable, then re-enable photo syncing on the iPad to remove existing synced photos and get a fresh start. If that doesn't resolve the issue, the next step would be to remove the iPod Photo Cache.

If still experiencing issues with which photos are actually synced from iPhoto, you may need to repair your iPhoto Library.
