Recently, my iPhone 4S stopped deleting emails. When trying to delete from the inbox to the Trash, a dialog box comes up, saying "Unable to move message. The message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash." Can this be rectified?

Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Hi AnaMusic, I had tried this, but unfortunately it didn't work. I have since fiddled around in settings>mail, contacts and simply turned Mail from On to Off, waited a few seconds and then turned it to On again. The emails now delete!

Hi Ocean20, thanks for your reply, but my Mail, contacts>ac count name> does not show Advanced and so I could not proceed with your full advice.
