I have a OS X v10.6.8 and iphoto'09 v8.1.2, and not able to read RAW files from my new Nikon D600. Anyone who's got any good advice which updates I would need? Or if it's adviced to upgrade to Aperture instead, would it be compatible with my OS version?

Or if it's rather adviced to upgrade to Aperture instead, would it be compatible with my OS version?

Hello opsag,

RAW compatibility is going to be OS dependent rather than application dependent. The D600 will require either OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion for RAW functionality.

Mac OS X v10.6: Supported digital camera RAW formats

OS X Lion: Supported digital camera RAW formats

OS X Mountain Lion: Supported digital camera RAW formats

All the best,

Allen
