since you cannot work from any library in your current user account, try to launch Aperture from a different user account - create one from the Users&Groups Preference Panel, if you do not have a test account, see: Isolating an issue by using another user account
- If Aperture does not even work from a different account, reinstall Aperture
- But if it works from a different account, delete your user preferences, as described here:
Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics, see the paragraph "Delete the user preferences"
