iMovie no longer seeing videos from iPhoto

Hi there,

I am in the process of making a short movie in iMovie. When I opened iMovie this afternoon to import video clips from iPhoto for my project, I saw that iMovie is only seeing video clips in iPhoto that are dated 2010 or earlier. This just started happening today, and I know it was working before.

As far as I know, nothing has changed. I am running the latest OSX, the latest iTunes, iMovie and iPhoto.

I am able to workaround the issue by importing the movie directly into iMovie, but this takes a LONG time (the current video I am importing will take about an hour).

Does anybody know what can be done to fix this? Do my thumbnails need to be re-generated? I tried restarting but that didn't help. Oh technology....
