Q: i used migration assistant to transfer files from another computer operating on windows 7 and its transferred all the info under the user name for that computer and created how do i rectify this problem?

my macbook pro was up under a particular user name i then transferred files from another computer operating on windows 7 using migration assistant and its transferred everything under the user name for that computer how do i rectify this problem?

When Migration Assistant is used it transfers the entire account, not just files.

So if you have a account already existing on the machine, then you will wind up with two or more accounts on the machine depending on how many accounts were migrated.

You like want to merge the information into one account and I wrote a User Tip how to go about here.
