I also don't believe there is any value in backing up Time Machine backups.. do a fresh clean CCC backup of the computer and of course if you have files (not backups) on the TC then back them up. Where are you going to back up to??

Jun 22, 2013 8:21 PM in response to duckman1by Bob Timmons,You may be asking about the Archive function that was present in the AirPort Utility 5.x versions, then disappeared in AirPort Utility 6.0-6.2, and now has reappeared with the "new" versions of the Time Capsule that have recently been introduced.
If this is what you are asking about, the "Archive Disk" function is a manual operation only.
This might be a good thing, since the Archive function copies everything on the Time Capsule to another USB drive.....very slowly.....so you would likely be tying up your Time Capsule and Mac for hours each day with a daily backup.

Jun 22, 2013 8:21 PM in response to Bob Timmonsby LaPastenague,Just to add, what is worse is it is a full disk archive every single time.. no incremental backup.. so will take ages.. even though no packets are going over network at least on older version it was slow as slow..
Bob will need to test if the speed is better now on the AC version.. chalk up another test.
