My ipod has been water damaged a little, but when it was it was dead in the first place. also i put it in a bag of rice for a while. Now, when i put it in the charge it shows the charging symbol along with the low battery sign.It has nothing to do with the charger. it is a ipod touch 4th generation.

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

I have tried using another cable. I know i can take it to the apple store but I have alot of important stuff on that ipod so it would have been really nice to get it working.
my iPod only charges but once i take it out it goes blank completely
