Hey guys, i need some help, since updating my phone to ios 6.1.4, as i had 6.0 since updating last year lol when my mum or dad call me it comes up as "dad or dad mobile" calling and for my mum "mum or mum mobile" calling, why does it do this? and how can i fix it? I have a iPhone also 5 if that helps
no it doesnt, as i have not changed anything and all i did wen getting my iphone 5 some months ago was just sync to itunes putting all my files on, so thats why im not sure wats wrong? its just since updating my software its changed?
lol no they dont? you dont understand my question do you? its not that wen my mum calls it shows up with dad its that wen my mum or dad call it shows up "dad or das mobile" and "mum or mum mobile" and it never did that before updating my software
Delete and do it again, thats all I can say.
Also, you can tag phone numbers to show mobile/iPhone/home/work that way you don't have to list it in the contacts as to which number they're calling from.
Also, it never hurts to include screenshots in your post of anything dodgy happening on the phone.
This is an example of how I use the tags to see what number is being used.

It probably has to do with the way you have entered contact details for your mother and father in the contacts app because that is where the information is coming from
Well have you looked in contacts to see?

Otherwise, yes you have a duplicate contact in your phone... I'd say just delete dad/mom and add it back.
