When I bring up iCal, I get a pop-up with my last attempted event update that says "Your calendar couldn’t be refreshed." iCal then locks the pop-up in place and I must Force Quit to get out. Any help?

Hello, Para-Frog.

If you are using iCloud and all calendar data has been verified present on iCloud.com, disabling and enabling calendar syncing in system preferences can resolve this message. Same solution can also resolve other CalDAV accounts such as Google or Yahoo. Make sure to always back up your data prior to processing any troubleshooting.
