What OS version are you on? You're not running iOS 6.1.2 on it.
If you're on 10.7 or 10.8, try the recovery option:
thank u babowa. the version is 10.6. i tried the recovery option but it didnt work.
Reinstall from your backup, using your Snow Leopard discs. By the way, these are the 10.7 forums.
Cheers
Pete
Ahh, 10.6 was still distributed with install disks, so there is no recovery option. If it's system files, you'll need to do a reinstall, so get out your install disks. Make sure you have a backup of your important stuff first.
i don't have the disc. is there another way without the discs?
thanks
Nope; call Apple, give them your serial number and they'll send replacements. You will need them sooner or later either for reinstalls or if/when you sell the machine.
