Problems with Thunderbold Update 1.2

If have a MacBook Pro May 2011 with a harddisk drive which is adapted via Thunderbold. I did install the Thunderbold Firmware Update 1.2. After that there is no connection to the harddisk anymore.

The procedure to reinstall the firmware update doesn´t work. The installation is accepted and a reinstalltion is not possible.

Does anyone knows help ?

If you followed the instructions in the support article, try this:

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

If that doesn't work, make a "Genius" appointmentat an Apple Store.

Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair

*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
