Q: iCloud email on my phone incorrect

I had the same problem as I had changed my email for my apple id but the icloud still had my old email.

Only way round it for me was to login to my apple account and change my email back to my old email which it is requesting which I then had to verfiy.

Then my password worked when trying to disable find my phone.

I then deleted my icloud account ( Under settings - Icloud )

Then changed my email back to my new email account - verfiy again - then the login worked.

A lot of hassel but this seemed to work for me

If you still have access to your old email account, try Brackers28's solution (posted just above your post).

Was a solution for this ever found? I can't delete my iCloud account bc it's asking for a password...same exact issue. I just downloaded and installed the iOS 7 update today which is why I noticed. Thanks!

Are you sure this won't delete things that are synced with iCloud? I just backed up my phone to my Mac so everything should be saved except for the upgrade to iOS 7 today...

It won't. Deleting the iCloud account only deletes the old account from your device so you can sign bck in with your new ID.  Your iCloud data will remain in your iCloud account.

Yes, but I don't know my old pass word & I don't have access to email so I can't reset my password

Thank you very much!! This worked for me, I just called apple and they did not know what to do and then I found this post while talking on the phone. The technitian I spoke to is writing a report and will hopefully be able to make it easier.

This is all very well if you still have access to your old email account, but what if you can't access it, then what?

surely theres another way round this?

you use same apple id passcode i mean just try this is only way to change i tried every thing and this is the only way , and if you lost your ex email i will say that apple doesnt ask me for confirm my ex email i changed it to my ex email and then delete icloud and then log back in wiht new mail , but apple ask me for the new mail to confirm as sending me an confirmation email !!!

Yes, if you don't have access to your original account I'd say contact Apple.
