Seems like a very remedial question but it doesnt work.
OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
Post the settings you are using for Gmail smtp, all the settings (ports/security etc)
This works for me:
Server name: smtp.gmail.com
Use custom port: 587
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): checked
Authentication: Password
User Name: XXXXX@gmail.com
Password: XXXXXX
My gmail is setup using smtp.gmail.com and it will not send email. No idea what to do.
