Q: can't get connected mac book pro with iPhone by bluetooth

My Mac Book pro seems to recognize my new iPhone5 by bluetooth, but the iPhone does not recognize my mac.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

For what reason are you trying to pair them? Unless it's for tethering, the iPhone does NOT support bluetooth connections to laptops.

Correct. This has never been a feature of iphone/ipad/ipod, with the exception of internet tethering if provided by the carrier.
