I want to erase an iPad I purchased for a family member. I forgot the Restrictions password. I want to completeley erase the iPad, reset that password, and disable Safari, YouTube, etc. I want do this while restoring only the purchased apps, so I don't lose that money.
Settings >> General >> Reset.
Erase all settings & content will wipe the iPad back to Factory settings.
Erase settings will not delete apps and music, etc.
I'd suggest doing a full reset and then choosing what to load on again via iTunes.
I tried that, but I set the "Restrictions" and I forgot the password. So when I click "Reset" it asks for the password.
