iPad modem and hyper-terminal?

I have an iPad mini with wifi and cellular. I have several HVAC systems that I manage from a PC by dialing into the HVAC systems using a modem and then using HyperTerminal to do the control. Is their any way I could use my iPad to dial in to control the systems so I don't have carry my PC around?
