Are the itunes extras available when i purchase a movie through my apple tv or do i have to purchase through my mac in order to get the extras?

Only AppleTV 1 supported iTunes LP and iTunes Extras.

Sadly Apple still have not enabled these on AppleTV 2 and 3.

Extras do not come with rentals, but will download if you buy in itunes on the computer but will only be viewable on that.

They can't be played on your TV, but it doesn't matter where you purchase a movie, extras can be downloaded to the computer.
