How do i view gif files on my computer?
Not sure how to see gif files stored on my mac?
Just click on it. It will open in Preview.

Thanks for the response. When i open it in Preview it shows me a series of pictures involved with the make up of the gif file, but it does not play it in Preview.
Just drag the gif onto the safari or firefox icon on your dock.
To change the default app for animated GIFs, click the GIF file icon and press Command-I. Under Open With, select your favorite browser from the drop-down menu and then click the Change All button. Then you can double-click the file to see
When I pressed "command I' it opens, and in the preview at the bottom it is animated. I followed your instructions though and still when i just tap on them afterword it still comes up as a still picture in Preview.
