Q: Panasonic DMC-G6 and RW2 problem in Aperture 3.4.5
Hi!
Just bought a fantastic camera, the Panasonic DMC-G6. A strange thing happened when I imported to Aperture 3.4.5. All jpg's looks fine and the RW2 files also looks fine. After a minut or so I get the message: Unsupported Image for all RW2 files and the RW2 pictures dissapears.. Do anyone knows about this?
Many thanks,
Micael

Micael,
the DMC-G6 is not yet supported by Aperture, see the list of supported cameras.
Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support
For the time being, try the work-arounds:
- Use Adobe's free DNG Coverter and convert the raw to dng, if Adobe supports your camera.
- Use the software that came with your camera to develope the raw and import the tiff or psd to Aperture.
- Or shoot raw&jpeg and use the jpeg as originals while you are waiting for raw support to be released.
All jpg's looks fine and the RW2 files also looks fine. After a minut or so I get the message: Unsupported Image for all RW2 files and the RW2 pictures dissapears.. Do anyone knows about this?
During import Aperture will show you the camera generated jpeg previews of you images, but when Aperture tries to generate its own previews you will get the alert "not supported"

Léonie
P.S: the raw of my Lumix is also not supported by Aperture, but the dng files work well.
